Course overview:
Childhood and adolescence are key stages of personal growth, full of physical, emotional, and social changes. Supporting children and teenagers during this time is essential to help them develop a healthy relationship with themselves and the world around them. Yoga and meditation are powerful tools that nurture this growth from the inside out—promoting self-awareness, emotional balance, and physical well-being.
These practices teach young people how to stay centered, seek balance, and better understand who they are. When children feel connected and at peace within themselves, they also become more mindful of nature and their surroundings.
Children are naturally curious, expressive, and open to new experiences. Yoga and meditation allow children to connect more deeply with their bodies, emotions, and environment.
The course is designed to introduce children and teens to the benefits of yoga and mindfulness in a fun and engaging way, while also offering the opportunity to learn any language through practice and playful activities. Sessions are structured as playful experiences where they can explore movement, breathing, and imagination. These practices help them relax, connect with their inner world, recognize their emotions, and improve focus and behaviour in the classroom. The course also promotes values such as peace, environmental awareness, and compassion.
Children will practice yoga both indoors and outdoors, incorporating nature-based mindfulness activities and movement in natural settings. Outdoor activities will enhance their connection to the environment and support a holistic learning experience.
Incorporating yoga, meditation, storytelling, and games into the daily routine allows children to pause, reset, and engage in learning with greater focus and calm. The use of mindfulness-based psychomotor games fosters attention, emotional regulation, and creativity—essential skills for today’s world.
Learning outcomes:
The course aims to connect play, relaxation, focus, and balance. It encourages children and teens to know themselves better and relate more positively to others and their environment.
Methodology:
This course encourages the regular integration of yoga and mindfulness into the school day, creating a space where children and teens can pause, reconnect, and develop essential life skills. A growing body of scientific research supports the benefits of these practices in helping individuals—young and old—stay grounded, manage emotions, and respond to the world around them with greater awareness and compassion.
The methodology combines physical movement, breath work, creative storytelling, and play to engage the whole child—body, mind, and imagination. Yoga postures inspired by elements of nature—animals, plants, and natural forms—foster a deeper connection with the Earth, helping children develop a sense of ecological responsibility and inner harmony.
In addition to supporting physical and emotional well-being—through improved posture, stronger muscles, immune system support, and emotional regulation—this course also introduces English language learning in a playful and immersive way. In line with the principles of CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning), children will develop language skills while engaging in meaningful, context-based activities. Through yoga-based activities, storytelling, songs, and imagination-driven games, children will naturally absorb new vocabulary, improve listening skills, and develop communication in English, without pressure or formal instruction.
Creativity is at the heart of the approach. Each session invites children to explore through movement and imagination, reinforcing learning in a joyful, engaging, and meaningful context. By combining language learning with body awareness, emotional intelligence, and environmental consciousness, the course offers a truly holistic educational experience.
