Course overview:

This course is designed for teachers who want to develop effective and engaging oral language teaching strategies for very young learners, who don’t read yet or are learning to do it, and for young learners. The focus is on providing a fun, interactive, and stress-free learning environment where teachers will experience a range of activities that they can later adapt for different age groups. The course integrates theory and practice, ensuring that participants understand the principles behind the activities they implement in their own classrooms.

This five-day course provides teachers with practical methods to teach English or any other language at early stages, through storytelling, games, songs, role-playing, and movement-based activities. It follows a communicative and multisensory approach, emphasizing real-life interactions and playful engagement to build confidence in the learning of English. Foreign language teachers know it is not the same teaching non readers than older learners, and the strategies we need to use are very different. We will also see fun activities for any age. The course is structured to be hands-on and enjoyable for teachers, giving them firsthand experience with the activities they will later use in their classrooms.

Teaching oral skills to non-readers requires a playful, interactive, and engaging approach. This course provides teachers with the tools and confidence to create dynamic classroom experiences that make language learning fun and natural for students of all ages. The key takeaway is that when learning is enjoyable, speaking comes naturally!

So even if you don’t teach very young learners, you will enjoy a lot this course having fun while taking part and doing every activity of the course, letting your inner child inside you to go out and play, putting the shyness apart for a while to a fully experience of this course. There will be more surprises and tools, also, to make teachers feel confident and relaxed with themselves and in the teaching practice.
